Written and produced by Chris Molloy for Indigenous Theatre Group/The Native Fatory, Directed by Kate-Louise Elliot. The Last Taniwha tells the story of a night of adventure for two mischievous young boys, Moko and Guts, that ends up in an appalling act of bloodshed. Twenty years later, with the scars from that night still fresh, they meet again. It seems an ancient taniwha’s curse is still very much alive in the town where they grew up. “…a powerful night at the theatre… it's fine playwriting and beautifully realised performance.

“The mythological saga is expertly interwoven with a modern day story. Chris Molloy's first play establishes a distinctive voice and introduces a writer with enormous potential.” NZ Herald
