With 26 shows in 20 days, we’ve got a tsunami of fringe approaching The Basement – and they’ll be flooding every crevice of the venue as soon as we open on February 9th.
Right now, all across Aucks, and indeed the rest of the country (there’s even a couple in far-flung aussie), artists are rehearsing in garages, spare rooms and cupboards. They’re busy sewing bizarre costumes, pushing the boundaries of pathos, and stretching story structure. All this, to ensure your balmy February evenings are enjoyably audacious at our place. Indulge in a little forward planning by checking out our Fringe 2015 line-up.
We’ve got: Lip-syncing under disco lights, erotic tribalism, a six hour improvised break-up, time travel back to 80’s Ponsonby, a gigantic vulva, the real Red Riding Hood, a sweet bucket salesman who’s only friend is a horny possum, and much much more. Basically we’ve got it all.
