20 - 24 FEB 6.30 PM. THEATRE. Everybody Cool Lives Here presents a humorous and heartfelt journey, of a man homesick for a life he’s yet to build. Can dreaming of someone and whispering sweet nothings to the world help materialise them? Created by Duncan Armstrong and Isobel MacKinnon.
20 - 24 FEB. 8PM. THEATRE. A loose as fuck subconscious rant. A banging-pots-cutting-holes-in-the-furniture-setting-fire-to-your neighbor's-garbage type of show. Punk-esque live art riffs from Nisha Madhan. Run away.
IT’S A TRIAL!
22 FEB 7:00PM. SAMOA HOUSE.
It’s a Trial, but unlike you’ve ever seen. With the help of real expert witnesses and a maverick Judge, opposing lawyers duke it out over an issue so current we didn’t know what it was at the time of print. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll debate the issues. All rise!
SOCIAL MUSCLE CLUB
24 FEB. 3PM. THEATRE. Social Muscle Club is a fitness studio for our social muscles. SMC is an invitation. SMC is never what you expect.... SMC is a simple sharing game in which everyone offers something they can give away and asks for something they need. Expect cabaret, heartfelt exchanges and dancing.
26 FEB - 03 MAR. 6.30PM. THEATRE. ‘Side B’ is a dynamic series of four new short works choreographed by Perri Exeter and Joash Fahitua. A continuation of their debut show ‘MIXTAPE’, the concepts are derived from imagination, experiences and moments in time that reflect the contrasting worlds we come from and memories we create as humans.
26 FEB - 03 MAR 8.30PM. THEATRE. Anne Xiety and Dee Pression are not-so fabulous Drag Queens. In fact, they’re quite nervous performers. They’re riddled with self doubt and constantly second-guessing themselves. But that won’t stop them from putting on a toe-tapping, lipsync-tastic, hilarious cabaret of dance numbers and stand up set sets. Created by Tom Sainsbury and Hamish Russell.
28 FEB, 1 MAR 6-8PM. 2 MAR (GRAND FINALE) 7:30PM. BAR. They’re coming. The inspiring. The talented. The extraordinary. The best home cooks.....EVER (you?) Bring a plate, or whip something up from the Chef Masters pantry onsite and see if you have what it takes to be the greatest chef in Auckland. Three celebrity chefs, three nights of outstanding cuisine, one grand winner! Will you be crowned the Chef Masters Champion of 2018?
24 FEB & 3 MAR. 10PM. THEATRE. The death of Mr Mackenzie has left the Mackenzie Country community in mourning. His daughters are left in charge of the farm and that means any-bloody-thing could happen in this improvised soap opera parody, featuring some of Auckland’s top improvisers.
27 FEB - 3 MAR. 7:30PM. BAR. "It’s me running for an hour. That’s it. I’m just, running. Down the street, or maybe in the park. Look the route isn’t set yet… but I’ll be running the whole time and I'll, like, do my best y'know? But I’ll also just be myself, but like, faster than usual" A Live stream of Sam Snedden running the streets of Auckland played in the Basement Foyer.
