Stage Door

PIPA’s students bring a new twist to this story of struggle and friendship.

Drawn from the 1937 film of the same name Stage Door revisits the late nights, highlights and catfights of aspiring actresses and show girls boarding at New York’s “Footlights Club” in the 1930s. The women of Stage Door are shooting for the stars but sometimes just happy to know where their next meal is coming from. Under the direction of Bronwyn Bradley and Lauren Jackson, PIPA’s students bring a new twist to this story of struggle and friendship.
