Self help or self harm - the borders of personal storytelling

In alliance with the upcoming season of Me and My Sister Tell Each Other Everything we are excited to announce Self help or self harm coming back for round two to continue the conversation.

We like to share our own experiences on stage - and we want to hear these stories. However, there’s something in the retelling that can be difficult or even traumatic, especially if it’s a topic that’s close to home. Where is the line between healing and harming when we share personal details? And how do we protect ourselves and our audiences?

Join Lucy-Mary Mulholland (Arts Therapist) in conversation with Karin McCracken (Performer) and Uther Dean (Writer of Me and My Sister Tell Each Other Everything) about the decisions around keeping private or making public. Then, expand your toolkit with advice and techniques on how to keep the process of personal storytelling safe for everyone.

Please come along to both the talk and the show afterwards. For those attending this U:U event there is a promo code for $20 tickets to Me and My Sister Tell Each Other Everything. Simply enter 'unseen' into the promo code box when you click through the ticketing link above.

This evening of Me and My Sister Tell Each Other Everything will be fundraising for The Aunties.
