Pride Selects 2027 – EOIs Open!

Basement Theatre’s submission window for Pride Selects 2027 is open and will officially close on Tuesday 13th October, 11:59 pm.

Te Rā is shining down on us; our beautiful Pōhutukawa are in full bloom; the days are longer and the nights are warmer – it’s the perfect season to usher in Pride Selects at Basement in 2027!

In partnership with Auckland Pride, we will curate, and support the presentation of, three creative works in the Theatre during February 2027, with each work presenting a five-day season across three consecutive weeks.

These works will be the core of our Pride Selects at Basement season, increasing the visibility of Takatāpui and Rainbow creation in Tāmaki Makaurau, and supporting the selected artists into meaningful development opportunities which platform and uplift their stories, perspectives, and practices.
