Show info

A Master of None: Brown Fala is a multi-layered love letter to Pasifika women, queer people, our youth, and our indigenous families around the world. It is a celebration of our tradition as a people to lay down the mat to talk and gather for community. Through the lens of a small child, the show uses animation, shadow play, song, and dance to talk to our community about the abuse we choose to be silent about within the household.

The Woven Collective
The Woven Collective is created to be a space of knowledge sharing where artists from different disciplines nerd out in the most practical way. Creating bodies of work and utilising/teaching our peers how to execute. This is aimed at the multidisciplinary artist and a strong Pasifika lifestyle of living in art and not creating barriers around who is practicing it. In this specific work most of these performers have little to no experience with microphones, projection and set design. We used musical theatre to create the opportunity for our artists to interact with all of these.
