Comedy Culture NZ on behalf of Creatif Kate are pleased to present the return of Femmes & Thems Comedy to Basement Theatre, and this time, we're doing it monthly!

Some of your favourite funny people from across Tāmaki Makaurau and beyond take over the Basement Studio for an evening of belly laughs, experimental comedy and joyful chaos in this award-winning lineup show. From Stand-up to sketch, music and story-telling - there's something for everyone at a Femmes and Thems show!

Created by Creatif Kate in Wellington in 2022 and brought to Auckland in early 2024 where Comedy Culture NZ continue its legacy, this is the only place you can see the original Femmes and Thems Comedy show in New Zealand!

Comedy Culture NZ is an award-winning collective and production house (Best Producer, NZ Comedy Guild Awards 2025) that champions joyful, comedic theatre and experiences, built by and for like-minded performers and audiences. They regularly produce lineup shows such as Femmes & Thems Comedy, Can’t Think Straight: A Queer Variety Show, and the Big Queer Improv Party as well as being a launchpad for emerging artists to produce their own works under.
