((( ORO:RESONANCE ))) An evening of sound + movement forged by new minds and bodies.
Fresh and fierce sound and music co-creation comes to Basey!
Experience a one-night-only sharing of new performance created through ((( ORO:RESONANCE ))), a crip-led creation project by Touch Compass.
Disabled rangatahi sound creators (aged 16+) develop original audio pieces exploring memory, identity, rhythm, under the wing of disabled composer and sound designer Drew McMillan. These works are gifted to a collective of dance-theatre artists to bring their own flavour to these. The result?
New sounds resonate with new life, becomes the starting point for movement + storytelling.
Join us at the Basement for this unique intimate programme of short works (each work is 3–4 minutes), followed by a relaxed post-show kōrero with the some of the artists/creators/dancers.
