Scotland, 1052. Flames lick high into the pitch black night while thunder and lightning crashes bright. Witches cackle, dance, and call as ravens cry a carrion song. The cauldron bubbles and a plan is brewed to seek revenge on those who rule. All around the broken land weird sisters dance with hand in hand. To see the one they call to heed and follow through the blasphemous deed. The curtains part and lift the veil. Here lies Macbeth. Hail. Hail. Hail.
The Sundown Players
The Sundown Players is a new theatre company, inspired by that magical time of twilight; sundown, when the real becomes fantastical. We endeavor to give audiences transcendent experiences that celebrate that space between. We are built on highlighting queer stories, voices, and talent. Creating accessible theatre that uplifts and inspires queer people, especially young queer people, to play in that space between and know that is beautiful and to stand against its continued discrimination.
