Due to the current Covid-19 situation, creator Alice Canton has made the decision to postpone the remaining performances of The Year of the Tiger at Basement Theatre. As this is a participatory work, Alice feels this is the best decision for the safety of all involved.

A group of strangers, born between 1938 - 2010, meet on stage to reflect on their lives and the changing world around them. The participants, each born in the year of the tiger, discover the strands of the Chinese zodiac that tie them together and the predetermined characteristics that set them apart.

Part live-documentary, part social practice, Year of the Tiger (虎—hǔ) is a new live arts project by Alice Canton (OTHER [chinese]) that celebrates intergenerational connection through ordinary, non-performers bringing to life their extra- ordinary experiences.
