F.O.L.A [AKL]: Moon Prism Power Bottoms

Show Info

Until we are but loot and lore, let’s be love in the meantime.

Guest Curators Falesā (Mush) Iosefo and Sione Monū of WHEKE FORTRESS take over our Festival Hearth, outside Basement with playful, uncanny and glittering visuals. Wheke Fortress is an experimental gallery and community hidden gem in Onehunga, with a groundbreaking crew of artists/organisers.

Moon Prism Power Bottoms is a cheeky South Auckland Sailormoon adventure of ancestral queer friendship and the power of alofa (love). Step into the portal and enter the inner worlds of Mush and Sione, following a kindred group of queer ancestors who find themselves reincarnated into an alternative timeline that mirrors late-stage capitalism. Before they leave, Mush & Sione must find their friends and complete the timeless assignment of alofa. Through high fantasy and re enchantment, Sione and Mush help those who have forgotten themselves and leave behind their loot and lore as artifacts, evidence of our queer ancestors.
