Life Is For Living
Show Info
Kia ora koutou,
It’s with a heavy heart that we inform you the residents of Te Matawai have decided not to go ahead with Life Is For Living. This wasn’t an easy decision, and both Joeli and I did our best to hold things together—but ultimately, we need to respect the wishes of the residents.
It’s a real shame, because it was a beautiful, powerful piece of theatre. That said, we’re incredibly proud of everyone involved—the mahi they put in, the growth we saw in each performer, and the spirit they brought to the process.
As a small consolation, we’ll be hosting a special event on Saturday the 26th at 8pm, where two of the residents will read their pieces from the play, alongside poets Liam Jacobson, Talia Stanley, and myself.
Thanks so much for your support
- Dominic Hoey
