Your starting point for marketing your show! This Marketing Timeline gives you a guide of when to action your marketing campaign. Depending on your budget and capacity, you may do less or more than what is detailed here.

11 WEEKS UNTIL OPENING

Have a brainstorm with your team about how you could market the show

10 WEEKS UNTIL OPENING

Basement's Marketing & Relationships Manager will have a marketing meeting with you and discuss how Basement can support the marketing of your show and also to some further brainstorming for promotional ideas

9 WEEKS UNTIL OPENING

Get all your ideas and when you're going to action them together in one doc

8 WEEKS UNTIL OPENING

Take your photo/s for your poster and digital promotions

6 WEEKS UNTIL OPENING

Write your Media Release and send to Basement's Marketing & Relationships Manager for sign off

Design your flyer and poster and get them signed off by Basement's Marketing & Relationships Manager

5 WEEKS UNTIL OPENING

Send your A2 final to Basement's Marketing & Relationships Manager to print. Print your flyer and any additional posters

Start sending media pitches. You may need to follow up with them a couple of times!

4 WEEKS UNTIL OPENING

Start your distribution campaign with Phantom

Send out invites to people you would like to invite to your opening night including reviewers

Start keeping an eye on your ticket sales

If you have an email database, send them a promotional email letting them know you have a show coming up

Start posting regularly about the show. Start boosting if you have budget

3 WEEKS UNTIL OPENING

Ask your team, friends and networks to share content about your show

Consider setting up a promo code with Basement's Ticketing & FOH Coordinator and promote it to select communities

Send two pieces of content (and the description) to Basement's Marketing Assistant for us to post on the Basement Instagram.

2 WEEKS UNTIL OPENING

If you are creating a programme, start putting together the info and design

1 WEEK UNTIL OPENING

Send your programme to print

WEEK OF SHOW

Thank your opening night audience for coming and ask them to tell their friends about the show
